The Income Tax department launches a new income tax e filing portal on June 7. There is a changeover from the old website www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in - to the new website- www.incometax.gov.in from June 7. Hereafter the taxpayers have to do income tax returns(ITRs) and other tax-related works in the new e filing portal. This portal is created for the comfort of the taxpayers.

Features of the new income tax e filing portal.
- The major features of this portal not only available on desktop but also accessible on a mobile app.
- Facilities like a call center, tutorials, videos, and chatbot/live agent are available to handle the taxpayers’ doubts.
- Taxpayers can also raise complaints about refunds and other queries
- Free ITR preparation software present online and offline. And also interactive questions available to help the taxpayers who are lacking tax knowledge.
- Integrated with immediate processing of Income Tax Returns(ITR) to provide refunds to taxpayers quickly. And a single dashboard displays all interactions, uploads, or pending actions.
- The new portal has multiple payment options like NEFT, RTGS, credit card, UPI, and net banking.
